Solving the Mystery of the Missing Assignments

Student: Amelia (7th Grade)

Middle School: Fallon Middle School, Dublin

Amelia, an 8th grader at Orinda Intermediate School, had a C grade in her foreign language class, despite submitting all her assignments on time—or so she thought. Her parents were puzzled. After reviewing her coursework with a StrivePath consultant, they discovered the root of the issue: a technical glitch was preventing her submitted assignments from being received by her teacher.

StrivePath took action immediately, helping Amelia draft an email to her teacher to report the issue. After meeting with Amelia, the teacher acknowledged the glitch, gave her credit for her work, and her grade was adjusted from a C to a B+.

To prevent future mishaps, StrivePath set up a system of reminders for Amelia and her parents to review her class assignments and grades every Friday. This accountability process allowed them to spot potential problems before they escalated. No more missing assignments. No more late submissions.

“StrivePath helped us see what we couldn’t,” said Amelia's mom. “Their guidance gave us peace of mind and showed Amelia how to stay on top of her work.”

This case shows how proactive organization and accountability systems can directly impact student grades and confidence.
