Why in-person matters

College Planning Is Personal. We Think the Relationship Should Be, Too.

Good advising is built on trust, and trust is built over time. That is why StrivePath students meet face-to-face with the same advisor throughout their journey, at an office in their own community, with virtual meetings available when schedules call for it.

An advisor who knows your student, your family, and your local high school can give guidance that a generic online program never will.

  • Offices throughout California

Students meet at a StrivePath office near home, so advising fits naturally into their week instead of feeling like one more screen.

  • One consistent advisor

The same advisor works with your student year after year, so plans build on real knowledge of their strengths, habits, and goals.

  • Virtual flexibility when helpful

Traveling, in season, or short on time? Sessions can move online without losing the relationship or the momentum.

Thank you, StrivePath! As a mom navigating our first college process, I can’t say enough about Saumya—she was patient, supportive, reassuring, and kind from start to finish. She built a realistic summer plan for my son that helped us complete the college research and essay work early, so when October 1 arrived, our applications were already submitted. The organization and calm she brought to the process were a huge relief. She reassured my son that he would have many options and celebrated each college admittance with him. We felt guided every step of the way. Get ready for Kid #2!

Strivepath really does strive for excellence. My daughter is with Strivepath for sometime now. Their counselors are very empathetic, resourceful and knowledgeable. They focus on kids mental health a lot while guiding the path for college admissions. I will highly recommend their service for anyone looking for college counseling. We are very happy with their service.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should students begin college planning?

Many families begin in middle school or early high school, when students have more time to make thoughtful decisions about courses, activities, interests, and academic habits. We also work with juniors and seniors who need focused college admissions support.

Do you only help with college applications?

No. StrivePath supports students with academic planning, executive functioning, career and interest exploration, extracurricular development, college research, essays, applications, and athletic recruiting.

Are meetings held in person?

Yes. In-person advising is a core part of StrivePath. We have offices throughout California where students can meet one-on-one with their advisor, with virtual flexibility when helpful.

Do you only work with students targeting highly selective colleges?

No. We help each student identify colleges where they can thrive academically, socially, and personally. The right college list is different for every student.

What happens during the complimentary consultation?

We'll learn about your student, discuss your family's goals and concerns, explain how StrivePath works, and determine whether our approach is a good fit.
