Why Mid-Peninsula Families Choose StrivePath
The mid-Peninsula is one of the most educationally varied stretches of the Bay Area. Within a few miles, a family may be choosing between San Mateo, Aragon, Hillsdale, Burlingame, Mills, or Carlmont, a well-established Catholic school such as Junipero Serra, Notre Dame Belmont, or Mercy Burlingame, and independent options such as Crystal Springs Uplands or Nueva. Each of those paths comes with a different course sequence, a different counseling ratio, and a different peer group, and the decision often gets made in seventh or eighth grade with very little admissions information in hand.
Local families also tend to be commuters. Parents work in San Francisco or farther down in Silicon Valley, schedules are tight, and students carry heavy activity loads across club sports, music, and jobs. That combination makes executive functioning, not raw ability, the usual constraint. Many of the students we meet here are entirely capable of the coursework but are losing points to missed deadlines, unclear priorities, and a calendar no one has ever sat down and mapped with them.
StrivePath works with students over time rather than at the last minute. We help families compare school and course options honestly, build organization and follow-through habits, develop interests that hold up under scrutiny, understand UC, CSU, private, and out-of-state options realistically, and assemble a college list that fits both the student and the family's financial picture. The measure of success is a student who becomes more independent each year, not one who is managed through the process.

Thank you, StrivePath! As a mom navigating our first college process, I can’t say enough about Saumya—she was patient, supportive, reassuring, and kind from start to finish. She built a realistic summer plan for my son that helped us complete the college research and essay work early, so when October 1 arrived, our applications were already submitted. The organization and calm she brought to the process were a huge relief. She reassured my son that he would have many options and celebrated each college admittance with him. We felt guided every step of the way. Get ready for Kid #2!

Strivepath really does strive for excellence. My daughter is with Strivepath for sometime now. Their counselors are very empathetic, resourceful and knowledgeable. They focus on kids mental health a lot while guiding the path for college admissions. I will highly recommend their service for anyone looking for college counseling. We are very happy with their service.
